In Depth

What each number type means.

House Number

First digit of the teer result. If the result is 37, the house number is 3.

Players who bet on house numbers win if the first digit (tens place) of the actual result matches. House 3 means any number from 30 to 39 wins.

Ending Number

Last digit of the teer result. If the result is 37, the ending number is 7.

Players who bet on ending numbers win if the last digit (units place) of the actual result matches. Ending 7 means 07, 17, 27, 37, 47, 57, 67, 77, 87, or 97.

Direct Number

The exact 2-digit result prediction. Highest payout, lowest probability.

A direct number is a straight prediction of the full 2-digit teer result. If you pick 37 direct and the result is 37, you win the direct prize — typically 80 times the stake.

Counter Number

The reverse or complement of the direct number. Acts as a hedge.

Counter numbers are used as a protection bet against the direct. If your direct is 37, the common counter is 63 (100 - 37) or 73 (digits reversed). Betting both reduces variance.

Common Questions

About common numbers.

  • What is a teer common number?

A teer common number is a mathematically derived prediction used by teer players. It includes house number (first digit), ending number (last digit), direct number (full 2-digit prediction), and counter number (complement or reverse). These are not guaranteed — teer is a game of chance.

  • How is the Shillong teer house number calculated?

The house number represents the tens digit of the predicted result. It is derived from statistical analysis of past results, day-of-week patterns, and mathematical formulas passed down through teer playing communities.

  • What is the difference between house and ending in teer?

House number is the first (tens) digit — e.g., result 42 has house 4. Ending number is the last (units) digit — e.g., result 42 has ending 2. House bets pay less but win more often. Ending bets are similar. Direct bets pay the most but hit the least.

  • Do common numbers work for Khanapara and Jowai teer too?

Yes. The same types — house, ending, direct, counter — apply to Khanapara teer (Guwahati, Assam) and Jowai/Juwai Ladrymbai teer (West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya). The numbers shown on this page cover all three games.

  • When are today's common numbers published?

This page updates every day before the first round (approximately 3:45 PM IST). The AI predictions section updates when today's analysis is generated. You can also generate fresh predictions from the Predictions page.
